Three recent boosts to the local ecotourism development in Marinduque includes the latest exploration of Bitik Caves in Santa Cruz, the Hinulugan Falls in Torrijos and the Tarug Caves in Mogpog.
At the top is the video of the exploration of Bitik caves published recently in the provincial blog as part of the Adventure Series, edited by E. Obligacion.
Two other sites that were also recently explored are Hinulugan Falls in Torrijos and Tarug Caves in Mogpog. May I reiterate that development of these local natural wonders of the province will definitely add to the claim of Marinduque as the ecotourism capital of the Philippines.
A recent comment by Kevin Mike in this site about close monitoring of environmental conditions inside the cave must be followed. Too many visitors in the cave can raised the temperature inside, that could ruined stalagmites and other fragile structures inside. Hiking boots could also ruined the inside of the caves, if not properly used. To visitors of the caves, please be aware that inside the caves are fragile structures, thus care must be exercised not to ruined the fragile structures inside during your visit.
This is awesome. I never knew there’s a place like this in marinduque. Too bad i was not able to go there during my stay. But i’ll be back any time next year
